Steps Followed by Leading IT Recruiter Companies to Hire Freshers

Have you heard of mass recruitment drives? If you have then you must know that this is an event that is organized by famous IT recruitment firms where in freshers are hired in bulk by leading Multi-national companies. With so many projects across various locations, these fortune 500 companies are in constant look out for freshers. But ever wondered why these companies hunt for freshers? The reason is simple. Freshers are like fresh clay who can be molded the way the organization wishes. The company need not spend much time in educating these ignited minds as the young girls and boys are much advanced. Also the salary expenditure for a freshman is very less compared to hiring competitive experts with numerous years of experience. Hence many companies hire freshers for which they request the help of third party recruitment partner. Generally while hiring a fresher for an IT job, there are few steps which these recruiters follow religiously, These are mentioned here as follows:

Aptitude test

This is the first phase in which recruitment firms filter the candidates. They conduct a written test with general aptitude and mental mathematics questions. These are conducted to test the alertness and smartness of the candidate.

Group Discussion

The candidates who clear aptitude test undergo a group discussion test where in they are formed into groups and asked to discuss on a topic. This tests the communication skill, body language and ability to lead a team in a candidate.

Personal interview

The third round is the personal interview. It could be purely technical or Human resource oriented based on the assessing company. At times there could be multiple level of interviews with increased hardships which candidate has t clear and secure a place for himself.

Salary quiz

Upon clearing all the technical tests, the candidate sits with the HR and gets to discuss his expected salary and further questions. This is the last but not the least step which is a very important determinant.

In every step, the recruitment firm assesses the intelligence, problem solving capacity, leadership, adaptability and most importantly the ability to work in a cross cultural environment of the candidate and pass their valuable inputs to the company who wishes to hire freshers. Based on this input and another round of personal interview, the candidates are selected and given offer letter – a gateway for their bright future.
